See section 2.1.4.
See section 2.1.4.
The organisation of the school year for special schools and units is similar to that in mainstream schools (see sections 3.2.1.2, 3.2.2.2, 3.2.3.2 and 3.2.4.2 of the mainstream Scotland Archive).1
In 2002, the Scottish Executive issued guidance to education authorities to assist them in considering and reviewing their policies relating to the length of the school week for special schools and units, so that these are in line with those of mainstream schools. It is therefore expected that students in special schools will generally have a similar length of school week as students in mainstream schools.1
