INCA provides descriptions of government policy on education in Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the USA and Wales. It focuses on curriculum, assessment and initial teacher training frameworks for pre-school, primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education in schools (3-19 age range).
The INCA website is funded by the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) in England. Content is managed by the International Information Unit at the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER).

- Australia launches consultation on first ever national curriculum
- As the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations holds a consultation on the first national Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum, the curriculum sections of this website have been updated to reflect recent changes.

- July 2010
- South Africa on INCA and comparative tables revised
- A description of the education system in South Africa has been added to INCA bringing the total number of countries covered to 21. The comparative tables have also been updated and now include South Africa. These tables were further revised in June 2010.
